Duties
- Assistance with bathing, grooming, oral care, shaving, and dressing
- Toileting and incontinence care
- Assistance with transferring and mobility
- Medication reminders
- Meal preparation and assistance with meals
- Light housekeeping related to the client's care
- Laundry and changing bed linens
- Companionship and conversation
- Assistance with errands and appointments when authorized
- Monitoring and reporting changes in the client's condition
- Following the client's individualized care plan
- Maintaining client dignity, privacy, and confidentiality
Qualifications
- Previous experience caring for elderly or disabled individuals preferred
- Compassionate, patient, dependable, and trustworthy
- Ability to provide respectful personal care
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow care plans and agency instructions
- Must be able to pass required background screening
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred
- CNA, PCA, HHA, or related caregiving experience is a plus
