Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented 3rd Shift Packaging Assembler to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently assembling, packaging, and preparing products for shipment during the overnight shift. Your focus will be on maintaining high-quality standards, adhering to safety protocols, and ensuring timely completion of packaging processes. Responsibilities
- Assemble products using mechanical knowledge and hand tools, ensuring accuracy and quality standards are met.
- Operate packaging machinery and equipment in compliance with FDA regulations and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) guidelines.
- Prepare finished goods for shipment by packing, labeling, and sealing according to specified procedures.
- Conduct routine inspections of packaged items to verify proper assembly and adherence to safety standards.
- Utilize forklifts and warehouse experience to move raw materials and finished products safely within the facility.
- Maintain accurate documentation of production activities, including logs for inventory, quality checks, and shift reports.
- Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), to ensure a safe working environment during overnight hours.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in manufacturing automation.
- Experience working within FDA-regulated environments and understanding CGMP requirements.
- Proficiency in packaging processes, assembly techniques, and the use of hand tools.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently; forklift certification is preferred.
- Warehouse experience with inventory management and shipping/receiving procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills to ensure quality standards are consistently met.
