Job Summary: The Facility Monitor is responsible for the appropriate use and cleanliness of all
equipment and the Fitness Center.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1) Must be able to work all scheduled shifts, with strict attention to being on time.
2) Monitor activity participation throughout the Community Center.
3) Enforce, adhere to, and educate patrons on all rules, regulations, and policies
regarding safe and proper use of the equipment and facility.
4) Routinely circulate the Community Center to ensure the proper safety practices by users
in the fitness center, basketball gym, racquetball court, track, upstairs fitness rooms,
bathrooms and all other areas of the facility.
5) Understand and demonstrate the proper way to use equipment upon request.
6) Report and document any malfunction, broken or missing equipment to the Community
Center Manager and proper maintenance records.
7) Clean and “wipe down” all equipment on a regular basis as scheduled with
documentation
