Responsibilities
- Process and verify high volumes of accounts payable transactions using various financial software such as Strongroom, Vantaca or QuickBooks
- Ensure all invoices are accurately coded, approved, and entered into the accounting system with attention to detail and timeliness
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies through effective communication and investigation
- Maintain compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and internal audit requirements to safeguard financial integrity
- Prepare and review journal entries related to accounts payable activities, including accruals and adjustments in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Manage vendor onboarding, updates, and payments within the accounting systems
Qualifications
- Proven experience in accounts payable or related accounting roles with a strong understanding of accounting operations
- Proficiency in Excel data analysis including formulas, VLOOKUP functions, and data entry accuracy
- Strong analysis skills to identify discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting
