The Franchise Business Coach role is a key member of an effective operations team that seeks to continually enhance Franchisees capabilities to maximize sales, increase market share, encourage unit growth, and create/maintain a success focused business model. This position provides consultative leadership, including coaching, teaching, and partnering with Franchisees, their operator(s) and team in in their assigned territory to ensure continuous improvement, showroom excellence and consistency.
This position reports to the Director of Franchise Operations & Support.
USA applicants must have a passport to be able to travel to Head Office located in Toronto, ON, Canada.
This position is REMOTE with 40% to 50% travel required to franchise locations.
Job duties include but not limited to:
Relationship Management:
- Provides coaching & guidance to Franchisees and their teams on Garage Living’s brand standards and operational tools and systems
- Consults with appropriate operations leaders and other departments to identify additional support and training needs to improve gaps in operations
- Builds valuable relationships with and acts as a liaison between other Garage Living teams and the Franchisee such as Creative, Marketing, Training, Finance and Operations
- Team player that keeps Operations abreast of issues affecting the overall Franchisee base, specific groups or any other relevant business challenge and gains respect of team and Franchisees
- Assist in the development of content for New Franchisee Training and Webinars working with the Manager of Training & Development
Operations Management:
- Works closely with Training Department to ensure successful on-boarding and closely monitors post on boarding performance, acting upon trends or needs
- Continually work with operations and sales departments on improving process, and procedures
- Perform well planned, purposeful, high impact visits with Franchisees within the assigned territory
- Consistently possesses, maintains, and demonstrates expert level knowledge of Garage Living’s brand standards and operational tools and systems
- Provide real time Franchisee support by answering phone calls or responding to emails addressed to the Support Team queues
- Maintain a communication call log to record the highlights of conversations/meetings and provide a case history utilizing Basecamp
- Works with Training to coordinate successful roll outs and training of new modules, programs, and brand initiatives
- Completes and submits all reports, documentation, and other administrative requirements in a timely manner
Financial/KPI Management:
- Focus heavily on the improvement of priority Franchisees including collaborating on the development of business plans designed to achieve measurable growth and improvement in the pursuit of location success
- Routinely provides franchisees with feedback on their Key Performance Indicator metrics and if necessary, develops plans to improve
- Assist Franchisees in the creation of annual business plans based on operational and financial goals, schedule regular reviews
- Conduct periodic operational reviews to help Franchisees identify and evaluate business opportunities and establish goals using data and conducting trend analysis
- Uses monthly financial reports and digital tools to support Franchisee in understanding their business and areas of focus
