Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated (LCSW, LCPC, LPC, LMFT) Licensed Marriage and Family Youth Counselor to serve our faith-based community. This vital role involves providing comprehensive counseling services to individuals, couples, families, and youth, fostering healthy relationships and spiritual growth. Duties
Work alongside our ministerial counselors, inner healing, deliverance and naturopath. Learn the Faith-Based, Med Free Method and O.N.E Brain Healing model, using a functional root-cause and holistice approach to mental health recovery.
- Conduct intake assessments to understand clients’ needs and develop personalized counseling plans aligned with Christian values.
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions focusing on relationship building, conflict resolution, mental health challenges, and spiritual guidance.
- Utilize therapeutic techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, art therapy, and behavioral management strategies to promote positive change.
- Address issues related to addiction, trauma (including PTSD), developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, gender issues, and crisis intervention with sensitivity and professionalism.
- Collect and maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations while ensuring confidentiality.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers, case managers, and community resources to coordinate holistic care plans.
- Facilitate workshops or seminars on topics such as conflict management, crisis management, behavioral health education, and faith-based counseling principles.
Skills
- Proven experience in home & community care settings with a focus on social work or behavioral health services.
- Strong background in data collection, medical terminology, and maintaining detailed medical records.
- Expertise in addiction counseling, child & family counseling, working with children with disabilities or developmental delays, and applied behavior analysis techniques.
- Skilled in patient care including patient assessment, diagnostic evaluation, case management, and mental health counseling.
- Proficient in crisis intervention strategies such as PTSD care and working with individuals with autism or other disabilities.
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance for safeguarding sensitive information; experience with medical documentation is essential.
- Capable of conducting individual/group psychotherapy sessions utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy approaches, and conflict management techniques.
- Excellent communication skills for working effectively within faith-based environments while addressing gender issues counseling sensitively.
