Job Location: Culpeper, VA
Job Schedule: 4/10's. Employees work 10 hour days, 4 days a week
Compensation: $50 an hour
Duration: 6 month project- potential hire on and relocation assistance at end of project for right candidate.

Job Description:
Responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring company environment programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state and local health and safety regulations. Work to reduce company risk and liability in all aspects of EHS. Assists in a variety of duties to include, sampling, observations, training and inspections. Assists with root cause analysis when EHS incidents occur and recommends corrective action where environmental, health and safety hazards exist. Responsible for monitoring and driving sustainability initiatives.
Essential Functions:
- Manages complex projects or processes with general oversight. Communicates within and outside of own function to gain cooperation on operational processes, practices, and procedures.
- Perform hazard analysis and risk assessments.
- Assists in accident investigations and recommends corrective actions.
- Conduct routine audits and inspections to identify and eliminate non-compliance issues.
- Manage projects related to energetics and safety; including participation in incident investigation, risk management, and process hazard analysis.
- Conduct training and communication campaigns to raise site-wide awareness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in EH&S and minimum 3-5 years of prior relevant EHS experience
- Experience with Energetics or solid fuel propulsion preferred
- Experienced in Process Safety Management (PSM)
- Prior military experience a plus.
- Knowledge of standards, OSHA, NFPA, NEC, and ANSI including familiarity with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Must be able to pass a DOD background screening
