Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Optometrist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services, diagnosing and treating visual disorders, and ensuring the overall health of patients' eyes. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Recent graduates of optometry are welcome to apply.
Duties
- Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and diagnose eye diseases or conditions.
- Prescribe corrective lenses, medications, or other treatments as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all patients.
- Educate patients on proper eye care techniques and the importance of regular eye examinations.
- Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Stay updated on advancements in optometry practices and medical terminology relevant to the field.
- Utilize aseptic techniques during procedures to ensure patient safety.
- Provide specialized care for pediatric patients as needed, ensuring a comfortable experience for children.
- Engage in optical sales by recommending appropriate eyewear solutions based on patient needs.
- Have knowledge in myopia management using contacts lenses, pharmaceuticals, lenses or orthokeratology.
- Have knowledge in prescribing complex contact lens cases that need scleral contact lenses or piggyback lenses is a plus.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid state licensure to practice optometry.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and medical coding related to eye care.
- Experience in pediatrics is preferred but not required.
- Excellent patient care skills with a focus on collaboration and communication.
- Familiarity with ophthalmology practices is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual responsibilities.

Pay: $111,900.00 - $143,000.00 per year
