Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Offshore Campboss/Cook to lead culinary operations and oversee food services in an offshore environment. Duties
- Lead the dietary department by planning menus that meet nutritional standards, dietary restrictions, and crew preferences while maintaining variety and quality.
- Supervise and coordinate all food preparation activities, ensuring timely meal service in accordance with schedules.
- Manage kitchen operations including food handling, storage, sanitation, and inventory control to uphold strict food safety standards.
- Oversee the training and supervision of kitchen staff and dietary aides, fostering teamwork and adherence to safety protocols.
- Ensure compliance with all health regulations and company policies related to food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety.
- Coordinate catering services for special events or meetings as required, ensuring high standards of presentation and service.
- Maintain detailed records of food supplies, preparation procedures, and safety inspections to support operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience in dietary department roles or as a cook within the food industry, preferably with offshore or remote camp settings.
- Strong background in menu planning, food preparation, cooking techniques, and food service operations.
- Demonstrated knowledge of food handling procedures, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations.
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation for large groups in fast-paced environments.
- Experience with fine dining or catering is advantageous; familiarity with restaurant or culinary environments is preferred.
- Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene.
