We are looking for a committed and passionate 4th/5th Grade Humanities (Reading, Writing, and History) Teacher to join our school community.
You will be responsible for preparing and implementing our Humanities curriculum for students in Grades 4 and 5. The ideal candidate has a passion for working with late elementary-aged kids, the ability to build strong relationships with students, and a firm grasp of language arts.
This position would be ideal for a former teacher, someone fresh out of school, or someone looking for a change from their current teaching placement. Pay is negotiable and varies depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Present lessons in a comprehensive manner and use visual/audio means to facilitate learning
- Provide instruction to students by promoting interactive, hands-on learning
- Maintain a tidy and orderly classroom
- Collaborate with other teachers, parents, and stakeholders, and participate in regular meetings
- Plan and execute educational in-class and outdoor activities and events
- Observe and understand students’ behavior and psyche and report suspicions of neglect, abuse, etc.
