Job Overview
Life Pearls Support Services is seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated Behavioral Health Technicians to provide Community Networking supports to an adult male diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
This role focuses on helping the individual build social skills, increase independence, improve community engagement, and develop meaningful daily living and interpersonal skills within integrated community settings.
Behavioral Health Technicians will provide one-on-one support while implementing individualized service plans and behavioral support strategies under the supervision of agency leadership and clinical professionals.
This position is ideal for individuals who are patient, energetic, structured, and passionate about supporting adults with developmental disabilities in achieving greater independence and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one community-based support services to an adult with Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Assist with developing communication, socialization, coping, and independent living skills
- Support participation in community activities, recreational outings, and relationship-building opportunities
- Implement individualized support strategies and behavioral interventions
- Promote safety, structure, emotional regulation, and positive social interactions
- Document daily service activities, progress notes, and behavioral observations accurately and timely
- Maintain professional communication with supervisors, family members, and interdisciplinary team members
- Support transportation and community integration activities as assigned
- Follow all DBHDS, DMAS, and agency policies regarding health, safety, confidentiality, and human rights

Physical Requirements
Candidates should be comfortable with:
- Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and accompanying individuals during community activities
- Assisting with transportation and active community participation
- Lifting or carrying items up to 50 pounds when necessary
- Remaining attentive and engaged throughout shifts
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Associates Degree or higher
- Behavioral Health Technician Certification
- Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder or Developmental Disabilities preferred
- Valid Driver’s License, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance required
- CPR/First Aid Certification required (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Ability to pass background screening
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours based on community scheduling needs
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous DSP, ABA, or Community Support experience
- Knowledge of behavioral support techniques and person-centered practices
- Familiarity with Virginia DBHDS and DMAS community-based service expectations preferred

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
