U.S. Sales & Business Development Representative
Position Summary
W&K Industrial Services is a global leader in complex equipment and machinery installations, removals, service, and preventative maintenance. Our services and expertise reach across practically every manufacturing industry in the world.
We are seeking a highly motivated Sales & Business Development Representative to identify new business opportunities, develop strategic customer relationships, and drive revenue growth across the United States. This role is responsible for managing the full sales cycle—from prospecting and opportunity development through proposal preparation, project handoff, and customer relationship management.
The ideal candidate has experience selling industrial services, construction services, machinery installation, automation solutions, or related technical services to manufacturers, OEMs, contractors, and engineering firms.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth within assigned markets and territories.
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities with OEMs, manufacturers, automation companies, contractors, and end users.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Develop and manage a qualified sales pipeline while maintaining accurate forecasting and reporting.
- Achieve established booking, revenue, and profitability objectives.
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitive offerings.
- Create and deliver proposals, estimates, presentations, and customer solutions.
- Collaborate with operations, project management, and finance teams to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate with domestic and international sales teams to identify and pursue strategic opportunities.
- Ensure smooth transition of awarded projects from sales to operations while maintaining customer engagement throughout project execution.
- Assist with issue resolution related to project execution, customer satisfaction, and collections when necessary.
- Participate in industry events, trade shows, customer meetings, and professional development activities to maintain market knowledge and industry relationships.
Qualifications
Required
Minimum of 3 years of business development, sales, or account management experience within one or more of the following industries:
- Industrial services
- Machinery installation and relocation
- Automation and material handling
- Manufacturing
- Construction services
- Engineering services
- Proven ability to develop new business and grow strategic customer accounts.
- Experience preparing proposals, estimates, and commercial quotations.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred
- Experience selling services to OEMs, contractors, engineers, and manufacturing organizations.
- Knowledge of industrial installation, rigging, maintenance, automation, or capital equipment projects.
Travel
- Ability to travel overnight up to 30% throughout the United States for customer meetings, site visits, industry events, and internal meetings.
