Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide attentive support to individuals in a community or home setting. Duties
- Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Monitor patients’ health by observing vital signs, noting changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately.
- Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA confidentiality standards.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols.
- Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance.
- Document care activities, patient observations, and any incidents clearly and thoroughly in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is preferred.
- Certifications such as First Aid, CPR, and basic nursing skills are required; additional training in patient monitoring and medication administration is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks while maintaining compassion and patience.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
- Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing changes in condition promptly.
