Duties

- Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement techniques and effective classroom management strategies.
- Foster a supportive environment that encourages independence, exploration, and respect for each child's unique developmental pace.
- Communicate regularly with parents about student progress, milestones, and any concerns related to child welfare or behavior management.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of student development and assessments.
- Lead activities that support childhood development including toddler care, early intervention practices, and standardized testing when appropriate.
Skills
- Proven experience working with children in preschool or early childhood education settings.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques rooted in Montessori philosophy.
- Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention programs, and behavior management strategies.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and administrators.
- Ability to implement child development instruction across diverse age groups including toddlers and preschoolers.
- Certification in first aid and CPR; knowledge of child welfare standards is preferred.
- Experience teaching physical education or integrating movement into daily learning activities.
- Demonstrated understanding of childhood development milestones, standardized testing procedures, and math instruction for young learners.
