A roll-off driver is responsible for safely transporting and delivering roll-off containers to and from job sites, landfills, disposal facilities, and customer locations. This role requires safe driving practices, awareness on construction sites, and proper operation of the roll-off truck system.
Qualifications:
- MINIMUM OF 5 YEARS of roll-off driving experience
- Valid Class B CDL with a clean driving record
- Must have knowledge of roll-off truck operations and safety procedures
- Ability to perform daily vehicle inspections and basic maintenance
- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Must provide and maintain your own tools
- Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment
Typical responsibilities include:
- Operating and driving a roll-off truck safely on roads and construction sites
- Delivering and picking up roll-off containers
- Inspecting the truck before and after trips (brakes, tires, lights, hydraulics, fluid levels)
- Operating hydraulic controls safely and properly
- Following traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety procedures
- Navigating tight spaces, rough terrain, and active construction sites
- Maintaining delivery logs, mileage, fuel records, and inspection reports
- Communicating with dispatchers, supervisors, landfill personnel, and crews
- Performing minor maintenance and reporting mechanical issues promptly
- Keeping the truck clean and in good working condition
- Managing delivery schedules and completing routes on time
- Assisting with general site safety and cleanup when needed
- Carrying basic tools, shovel, and broom as needed for daily operations
- Safety vest and hard hat required at landfill and active job sites
Pay: $1,000.00 - $2,000.00 per week
