Join our dynamic team as an On-Call CDL A Driver working the Overnight Shift! We are a small, but rapidly growing logistics company based out of Salt Lake City, UT.
This energetic role offers the opportunity to deliver freight efficiently and safely across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. As an on-call driver, you will be responsible for operating tractor-trailers using 53' dry vans, to transport freight across local, and regional routes. Our overnight shifts are mostly no-touch freight, and are quick turn-arounds with short stops.
Your expertise in commercial truck driving and logistics cargo handling will be vital in maintaining our high standards of service. This position is perfect for motivated drivers seeking flexible scheduling with the chance to make a significant impact on our supply chain operations.
Compensation & More
- $35/hour for any local, dedicated freight
- $150 - $450/route for any regional, dedicated linehauls (4 - 12hr shifts)
- Flexible Schedule - We contact you based on your weekly schedule
- Priority Promotion to Full-Time work
Duties
- Be available between the hours of 6:00pm and 3:00am
- Safely operate tractor-trailers, following all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) guidelines.
- Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure efficient delivery schedules and accurate delivery of freight.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with DOT standards; report any issues promptly.
- Manage delivery documentation accurately, including bills of lading, delivery receipts, and logs for route driving activities.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delays, or issues encountered during overnight deliveries.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL A license with clean driving record; experience operating tractor-trailers with manual transmission preferred.
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving in various environments.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery efficiency.
- Ability to manually handle freight safely during load & unload procedures when required; occasional freight handling as needed. Experience operating a pallet jack a plus.
- Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) rules.
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, compliance, and customer service during overnight shifts.

- Clean MVR for at least (5) years - Personal and Commercial.
- Manual Transmission - Automatic Restricted Licenses will not be considered.
