Facilities Technician

Wage: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour is negotiable and will depend on experience and identified value brought to the organization.

Faculties Technician Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional workplace by performing routine cleaning, maintenance, inspections, and repairs of interior and exterior facilities, including offices, common areas, grounds, and building systems.
- Inspect and monitor HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and safety systems; document findings; and report maintenance needs or repair requirements.
- Perform general building maintenance and repairs including carpentry, painting, fixture installation, drywall repair, furniture assembly, and other tasks within the scope of the position.
- Support workplace operations and events by assisting with office moves, workspace setups, equipment needs, and facility-related requests.
- Maintain organization-owned vehicles, tools, equipment, supplies, and maintenance records through routine inspections, servicing, inventory management, and accurate documentation.
- Assist contractors, vendors, and service providers by providing building access, supporting work activities, and communicating updates or concerns.
- Respond to maintenance requests and assigned tasks in a timely manner while prioritizing work according to established expectations and supervisor direction.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent, additional education or training is preferred.
- 3 years of building maintenance experience preferred.
- Knowledge of general building maintenance practices, including basic carpentry, repairs, and safe use of hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance tasks, follow safety procedures, and maintain accurate records.
- Ability to establish positive working relationships with coworkers, outside vendors, and other stakeholders.
