Used Car Technician needed - Must be able to do all of the basics in Used Car Reconditioning from Diagnosis to Repair. We are gearing up to be a USED CAR VOLUME Dealer and need someone to do the gravy work. You will be able to TURN LOTS of hours and pump up that Paycheck. Must have your own tools and have experience doing MVI's and Used Car Reconditioning. Brakes - Tires - Suspension - Oil Leaks - Alignments - Miscellaneous, ETC.

Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately and efficiently
- Repair and maintain various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, and steering
- Conduct wheel alignments and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations to ensure vehicle safety features operate correctly
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized automotive repair tools to complete repairs with precision
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid replacements
- Assist with auto estimating processes to determine repair costs and timelines for customer approval
- Maintain detailed service records and ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
Qualifications
- Proven dealership or service shop experience as an Automotive Technician or Service Technician
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair across various vehicle makes, especially GM vehicles preferred
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics software and electrical systems troubleshooting
- Experience working on powertrains, transmissions, diesel engines, and performing alignment procedures
- Familiarity with schematics, automotive electrical systems, ADAS calibration, and welding techniques
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately for complex repairs
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate repair needs clearly to clients
- Valid mechanic license or certification preferred; relevant certifications such as ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) are a plus
- Knowledge of auto estimating software is advantageous
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
