Hidden Creek Recovery & Retreat is a premier residential behavioral health treatment program dedicated to helping adolescents heal, grow, and thrive. We provide compassionate, evidence-based care in a safe and supportive environment for youth ages 11–17 struggling with mental health and behavioral health challenges.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our overnight clinical team. This role is ideal for a nurse who enjoys working with adolescents, excels in crisis management, possesses strong clinical judgment, and is passionate about making a meaningful impact in behavioral healthcare.
The Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct nursing care to adolescent clients receiving residential treatment for behavioral health concerns, including:

Depression and anxiety

Trauma-related disorders
-
Mood instability
-
Self-harm behaviors
-
Suicidal ideation
-
Aggression and behavioral challenges

Substance use disorders
-
Co-occurring psychiatric conditions
The RN/LPN is responsible for medication administration, health assessments, monitoring client well-being, collaborating with the multidisciplinary treatment team, and supporting the overall medical needs of clients throughout their treatment journey.

Administer medications and monitor for effectiveness, side effects, and adverse reactions.

Complete daily vital signs and ongoing nursing assessments.

Conduct weekly nursing evaluations and document findings accurately.

Observe and assess clients for changes in physical or mental health status.

Implement treatment protocols as directed by the Director of Nursing and Clinical team.

Provide routine nursing care while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety.

Administer medications according to physician orders and organizational policies.
-
Educate clients regarding medications, side effects, and medication compliance.
-
Monitor medication adherence and report concerns to providers.
-
Document medication administration and client responses accurately.
-
Work closely with psychiatrists, therapists, nursing staff, and other treatment team members.

Assist providers during weekly client appointments and medical evaluations.

Communicate medical concerns promptly to the Director of Nursing and treatment team.

Contribute medical information to treatment planning and interdisciplinary discussions.

Carry out and document verbal orders accurately and professionally, within scope of practice.

Facilitate health education and medication education groups.

Maintain compliance with infection control standards and Universal Precautions.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives, committee meetings, and staff training.

Maintain required certifications and complete all mandatory education programs.

Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and sound clinical judgment.

Active Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Georgia or Compact State eligibility.

Minimum one (1) year of nursing experience.
-
Current BLS/CPR Certification (American Heart Association required).

Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Experience in behavioral health, residential treatment, adolescent psychiatry, eating disorders, or acute care.
-
BSN (for RN candidates).
-
CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) Certification.

Experience working with adolescent populations.
-
Knowledge of psychotropic medications and psychiatric diagnoses.
-
Understanding of Anorexia Nervosa (AN), Bulimia Nervosa (BN), and Binge Eating Disorder (BED).

Ability to identify and monitor for refeeding syndrome.

Knowledge of medical instability indicators and cardiac risks, including bradycardia.

Strong medication administration and monitoring skills.
-
Trauma-informed care experience.

Effective crisis intervention and de-escalation skills.
-
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Residential behavioral health treatment setting.

Collaborative, multidisciplinary treatment team.

Exposure to medically and psychiatrically complex adolescent populations.
