Responsibilities:
- Lead the installation of residential HVAC systems, including air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces, mini-splits, and indoor air quality equipment.
- Remove and replace existing HVAC equipment in accordance with company standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Install ductwork, refrigerant lines, condensate drains, thermostats, and related system components.
- Perform start-up, testing, commissioning, and system verification to ensure proper operation.
- Ensure all installations meet local codes, safety regulations, and company quality standards.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor installation helpers and junior technicians.
- Provide on-the-job training and guidance to support team development.
- Maintain productivity and ensure jobs are completed on schedule.
- Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and professionalism.
Customer Service
- Communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners throughout the installation process.
- Educate customers on system operation, maintenance requirements, and equipment features.
- Address customer questions and concerns with professionalism and respect.
- Maintain the cleanliness of work areas and treat customer homes with care.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a safe work environment for team members and customers.
- Ensure proper handling of tools, equipment, refrigerants, and materials.
- Maintain compliance with applicable building codes and industry regulations.
Operational Excellence
- Complete installation paperwork and job documentation accurately.
- Manage truck inventory and maintain company tools and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse, and management teams.
- Participate in training and continuing education to stay current with industry technologies and best practices.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of residential HVAC installation experience.
- Proven experience leading HVAC installation projects or crews.
- Strong knowledge of residential HVAC systems and installation practices.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to read and interpret installation specifications, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and outdoor environments.
Physical Demands:
- Stand/Sit: Must be able to remain in stationary position 50% of the
- May be required to bend, climb (Stairs/Ladders), do repetitive motion, kneel, reach, squat, stand, crawl, walk, and run
- May be required to drive and sit for long periods of time
- May be required to maneuver up to 25 lb. by lifting, carrying or pushing
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs.) frequently.
- Comfortable working in confined spaces, heights, and varying weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
PAY TRANSPARENCY:
The starting salary rate for this opportunity ranges from $80k-$100k a year. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. Other rewards may include incentive plan opportunities and annual bonus eligibility.
