Nursing Assistant Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including hospitals, home care, and community care environments. Your primary responsibility will be to assist patients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while adhering to the highest standards of care. Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients to enhance their quality of life.
- Assist with mobility and transportation of patients within the facility or home setting.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient rooms and common areas.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to implement patient care plans.
- Document patient progress and report any changes in condition to the nursing team.
- Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures at all times.
Requirements
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) is highly desirable.
- Experience in behavioral health, caregiving, home care, hospital settings, or acute care is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients and their families.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
