Key Qualifications:
- Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology or related field required
- Valid state certification/license as a School Psychologist
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Strong assessment, consultation, and problem-solving skills
- Effective communicator skilled at building rapport with students, staff, and parents
- Familiarity with special education regulations and IEP process
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations to identify student needs and support eligibility decisions
- Provide direct counseling and intervention services to students individually and in groups
- Attend and participate in meetings, including IEP, eligibility, and intervention team discussions
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop strategies that support student learning and well-being
- Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Offer crisis intervention as needed and support positive behavioral interventions
