- Shifts avail: Full time, Part time
Requirements:
- GED or High School Diploma preferred
- Valid NYS Driver’s License and ability to drive is a a must .
- Prior experience assisting people with autism
- SCIP certified or trained is preferred
- Ability to work various shifts (days or evenings), strongly preferred
- OPWDD (Office for People With Developmental Disabilities) Experience a MUST in an IRA setting
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to people living in the residence including activities that encourage independence, community engagement, and group recreation trips or outings.
- Provide support and training for each person based on their wants, needs, and goals.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including self-care, to the extent needed.
- Revise the residential habilitation plan to residential staff action plan and individual program plan to the person’s Life Plan.
- Have scheduling flexibility; may be required to work with adjustments to the normal shift.
