Position Overview
The Grades 4–8 Teacher is responsible for providing engaging, rigorous, and student-centered instruction that prepares students for continued academic success. The teacher creates a positive classroom culture, delivers standards-based instruction aligned with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS), monitors student progress, differentiates instruction to meet diverse learning needs, and collaborates with families and colleagues to support the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth of students.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality instruction aligned with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) in assigned content areas.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote critical thinking, collaboration, problem-solving, and student engagement.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the academic, language, and social-emotional needs of diverse learners, including English Learners.
- Utilize classroom technology and instructional resources to enhance student learning.
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment that supports positive student behavior and academic success.
- Monitor student achievement through formative and summative assessments and use data to guide instructional decisions.
- Provide timely feedback to students and maintain accurate attendance, grades, and student records.
- Participate in professional development, meetings, and school-wide initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
- Valid Texas EC–6, 4–8, or appropriate Secondary Teaching Certificate in the assigned content area.
- Bilingual in Spanish (required).
- ESL Certification or willingness to obtain certification.
- Ability to effectively teach and engage students in Grades 4–8.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Education or a related field.
- Previous experience teaching upper elementary or middle school students.
- Experience working with multilingual learners and culturally diverse student populations.
- Experience using instructional technology and digital learning platforms.
- Strong understanding of adolescent learning and development.

- Strong instructional planning and data-analysis skills.

- Experience using Student Information Systems (SIS) and educational technology.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, sit, and reach throughout the workday.
- Ability to pass all required federal background check requirements.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $85,000

Additional Information
