Duties
- Assist with menu planning and food preparation, ensuring meals meet nutritional guidelines and dietary restrictions
- Prepare and serve meals with precision, utilizing proper knife skills and slicing techniques to ensure quality presentation
- Follow food safety management protocols to maintain cleanliness, proper food handling, and safety standards in production
- Support catering events and special meal services, ensuring timely delivery and excellent presentation
- Maintain accurate records of food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures in compliance with safety standards
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food service and smooth daily operations
- Assist in cleaning kitchen equipment and work areas to uphold hygiene standards
Requirements
- Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly preferred
- Kitchen experience within the food industry or restaurant setting is advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety standards, including proper food handling and sanitation practices
- Strong culinary skills, including knife techniques, slicing methods, and meal preparation experience
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Basic understanding of safety standards in food production and serving environments
