THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking to hire an advanced Service Tech/Installer who will be customer service oriented with an ability to work with a team or independently-positively and professionally. Under general supervision of the service manager to perform corrective maintenance on all electronic equipment, optimizes, maintains, and repairs 2-way and wireless communications systems as required. Provide technical assistance to field service team members when needed and other personnel in the organization. Provide occasional field support when needed for all supported equipment. Perform parts sourcing and bench repair of service parts relating to the service shop.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
-
Install, service, setup, program, and maintain fixed and mobile two-way radio equipment.
- Portables, Mobiles, Base Stations, and Repeaters at various locations.
- Measure, Tune, and Align RF filters and systems.
- Duplexers, Pass Filters, Notch Filters, and Combiners
- Diagnose and troubleshoot the above-listed equipment.

Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle power systems.

Performs on-site technical assistance as required, and completes special projects in a timely manner.

Utilizes proper test equipment to perform job tasks and observe proper safety procedures.

Makes recommendations and changes relating to procedural/operational

Organizes and maintains assigned tools, test equipment, and work areas.

Writes and maintains test procedures for repairable items.

Other duties to perform as necessary or assigned.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
-
5+ years of experience with Electronics, DC Low Voltage, RF hardware, and repair in 2-way radio and wireless communication systems theory. Able to use computer devices, programs, troubleshoot, perform diagnostics, and repair complex communication systems or related discipline, or equivalent experience.

Licenses and Certifications: An industry license (FCC, FICA or NARTE) is preferred. CET or NABER certifications are a plus

Experience supporting and testing both components and systems.

Capable of operating on test equipment such as an oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, multimeters, etc.

Knowledge and experience in the repair and maintenance of technical equipment.

Expert-level RF electronic assembly, test, debug, and repair.

Able to troubleshoot and repair to component level on all supported products.

Willingness to take initiative and assume responsibility for all supported parts and equipment.

Possess a positive attitude with high ethical standards.

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment, complete work orders, service orders, and other documents.
- Interfaces with co-workers, other management, and other department heads on issues that concern or affect them.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to interact professionally and courteously with customers, co-workers, and management.

Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, and a certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Ability to work independently to solve complex problems related to the repair of all supported equipment.

Possesses strong computer skills, efficient in typing, and has experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Willing to work on job sites during various weather conditions, hours

Willing to take training classes to support work-related jobs.

Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.

Available for flexible hours and occasional overnight travel (15 – 20%)

Must have a valid driver's license and pass a background check/drug screen.

PAY TRANSPARENCY
The salary range for this position is $65,000 – $75,000 annually DOE.
