Duties
- Lead and supervise all store activities, including sales, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Recruit, interview, and onboard new employees while providing ongoing training and development to enhance team performance.
- Manage cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial transactions.
- Oversee inventory control, purchasing, pricing strategies, and stock replenishment to optimize product availability and profitability.
- Implement effective management of shift schedules, employee orientation programs, and supervision of staff to foster a motivated team environment.
- Maintain excellent communication with staff and customers through phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to resolve issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, store policies, and legal requirements while promoting a positive store culture focused on teamwork and excellence.
Experience
- Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with a strong background in supervising teams.
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation, sales management, merchandising, and retail math to meet business objectives.
- Experience with inventory management systems, POS technology, cash handling procedures, and bookkeeping practices.
- Prior involvement in recruiting, interviewing, employee training & development, and performance management.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities such as budgeting, marketing campaigns, and staff scheduling.
