We are looking for a Baker to prepare a wide range of pastries, such as biscuits, scones, croissants, and cookies. Baker responsibilities may include bakeoff starting at 4 am, setting up the pastry case, cleaning dishes, mixing doughs, and shaping pastries. To be successful in this role, you should have a strong work ethic, great time management skills, and be able to work well on your own and with others.
Responsibilities
- Bakeoff pastries
- Clean workstation and dishes throughout shift
- Accurately weigh ingredients, mix doughs, and shape pastries
- Communicate with kitchen team regarding workflow and equipment needs
- Maintain an organized work environment
Skills
- Experience as a baker is preferred
- Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment, including mixers, ovens, and dough sheeter is preferred, but not required
- Understanding of food safety practices
- Excellent time-management skills
- Ability to remain focused in a fast-paced environment
- Team spirit, with a customer-focused attitude
- Ability and enthusiasm to work early morning shifts and weekends
- Ability to lift 50 pounds as reloading ingredient bins is a requirement of the job
- Certification from a culinary school is a plus, but not required
Schedule/Availability
- Must have weekend as well as holiday availability.
- Must have the ability to work a combination of AM and/or PM shifts on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday
- We are looking for someone that is able to take on 2 - 3 shifts a week to start, with flexibility to take on additional shifts to support our full-time staff.
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
