Overview
Max Motors is a locally owned independent used car dealership in Pearl City. We're looking for a dependable, self-motivated Automotive Operations Associate to help prepare vehicles for sale and keep the day-to-day operations of the dealership running smoothly.
This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working around vehicles, staying organized, and taking pride in quality work. You'll work directly with the owner in a small business where every day is different and your contributions make a real impact.
This is a part-time position of approximately 18 hours per week, typically Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with some scheduling flexibility for the right candidate.
Duties
- Prepare vehicles for sale
- Wash, vacuum, and perform light vehicle detailing
- Check tire pressures and fluid levels
- Replace batteries and perform other basic vehicle preparation
- Install license plates and dealer decals
- Take high-quality photos for online advertising
- Fuel vehicles and maintain organized inventory
- Pick up parts and supplies
- Transport vehicles to repair shops, detailers, and other vendors
- Help keep the dealership clean, organized, and professional
- Assist with other dealership operations as needed
Experience
Required
- Valid Hawaii driver's license with a clean driving record
- Reliable transportation
- Dependable and punctual
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Able to lift approximately 50 pounds
Preferred (but not required)
- Automotive or dealership experience
- Manual transmission experience
- Vehicle detailing experience
- Basic mechanical aptitude
