Team Select Home Care of Jeffersonville is looking for Home Health Aides (HHAs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our Team Select family. This position provides a unique opportunity to work one-on-one with our clients in their homes. We offer full-time, part-time, and PRN opportunities with flexible scheduling to fit your availability.
Team Select Home Care of Jeffersonville services a wide variety of clients who need a caregiver to maintain their independence in the comfort of their home. Caregivers work in our clients' homes and may also accompany clients to doctors' appointments, errands, and other activities. Prior to working with a client, Team Select Home Care provides the opportunity to meet families and assess the environment where care will be provided.
Our HHAs and CNAs will have a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick and elderly and will communicate and demonstrate competency in caring for our patients. Caregivers work closely with the agency, family, and other service providers to ensure comprehensive care for each client and report directly to the Director of Nursing.
Responsibilities
- Provide home healthcare services in clients' residences.
- Provide services ordered in the plan of care and permitted under State law.
- Perform hands-on personal care.
- Assist with clients' personal care activities.
- Assist with mobility and ambulation or exercises as assigned.
- Perform simple procedures as an extension of therapy or nursing services as assigned.
- Help with medications that are ordinarily self-administered as assigned.
- Transport and accompany patients to doctors' offices or the hospital.
- Perform household services essential to health care in the home as assigned.
- Maintain client care records and complete visit documentation promptly following agency policy.
- Report changes in the patient's condition and needs to the care team.
- Attend in-service and continuing education programs, staff meetings, and patient care conferences as scheduled.
- Follow agency policy for cleaning equipment between patient uses.
- Complete work assigned by the RN.
- Report any variance, accident, unusual occurrence, or incomplete work assignments to the RN.
- Observe confidentiality and safeguard all patient-related information.
- Complete other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Valid Indiana Home Health Aide (HHA) registration or valid Indiana Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
- Able to work evenings, from 5pm-9pm or 7p,-9pm
- 18 years of age or older.
- Valid driver's license or State ID card.
- Caring and compassionate personality.
- Current CPR certificate.
- First Aid training.
