Accelerate Early Learning Academy is seeking a dependable, caring, and motivated Head Start Teacher Assistant to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate enjoys working with young children and is committed to creating a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment.
Qualifications
- Current CDA (Child Development Associate) credential required
- Previous experience working in a preschool, Head Start, or early childhood setting preferred
- Must be dependable, punctual, and professional
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work effectively with children, families, teachers, and administration
- Must be able to pass all required background screenings
- Must complete all required childcare and Head Start training
Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead Teacher with daily classroom activities and lesson implementation
- Provide supervision and maintain a safe classroom environment
- Support children's social, emotional, physical, and educational development
- Assist with classroom routines, meals, transitions, and learning centers
- Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization
- Follow Head Start, licensing, and center policies and procedures
- Communicate professionally with parents, staff, and administration
- Participate in required meetings, trainings, and professional development
