Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Clinical Director (Psych Nurse Practitioner) to lead and oversee mental health services within our organization. This pivotal role involves managing clinical operations, supervising multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality behavioral health care. Duties
- Provide expert clinical leadership by supervising psychiatric nurse practitioners, therapists, and support staff to ensure optimal patient care delivery.
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding systems to accurately assess mental health conditions.
- Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and motivational interviewing.
- Oversee intake assessments, patient care plans, and ongoing case management for individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or behavioral health needs.
- Coordinate crisis intervention efforts and manage urgent cases involving PTSD care, crisis management, or acute psychiatric episodes.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining accurate medical documentation, medical records, and secure handling of sensitive information.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions, child & family counseling, and specialized programs for pediatrics or patients with disabilities.
- Lead clinical research initiatives and data collection efforts to improve treatment outcomes and support evidence-based practices.
- Collaborate with community agencies to provide home & community care services and support patients’ integration into their environments.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding standards (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding for billing purposes, and relevant healthcare regulations.
Skills
- Proven expertise in mental health counseling, diagnostic evaluation, and case management within behavioral health settings.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise clinical teams effectively while fostering a positive work environment.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with patients across age groups—including children—and working with families to develop comprehensive care strategies.
- Proficiency in crisis intervention techniques and crisis management protocols to handle emergency situations confidently.
- Deep understanding of medical documentation standards, HIPAA compliance, ICD coding systems (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding, and medical terminology.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder using applied behavior analysis (ABA) or other behavioral management strategies.
- Ability to conduct intake assessments thoroughly while utilizing social work principles to support patient needs holistically.

Pay: $82,388.10 - $117,076.61 per year
