The High School Research Assistant will support ongoing research activities in the laboratory under the supervision of faculty, research staff, or a postdoctoral researcher. The position is designed to provide early exposure to scientific research, help the student develop foundational laboratory skills, and foster interest in STEM fields.
Assist with simple experiments
Record data accurately and maintain organized notes
Perform routine laboratory tasks
Participate in structured scientific learning activities
At the end of the appointment, the student will submit a final report reflecting on the research activities, skills learned, and overall experience in the laboratory.
Must be at least 16 years old
Interest in science, research, or STEM-related fields
Ability to follow instructions carefully and work safely in a laboratory environment
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
