Job Description:
Endoscopy/GI Technician (Travel) – Rochester, NY | 13-Week Contract
- Position: Endoscopy/GI Technician
- Location: Rochester, NY
- Contract Length: 13 Weeks
- Shift: 8-Hour Days
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours per Week
- Employment Type: Travel Contract
Responsibilities
- Prepare procedure rooms and equipment using aseptic and sterile techniques.
- Assist physicians during GI and endoscopic procedures.
- Inspect, leak test, clean, high-level disinfect, and reprocess endoscopes and accessories according to facility protocols and regulatory standards.
- Identify defective or malfunctioning equipment and perform preventive maintenance.
- Calibrate and maintain endoscopy equipment following manufacturer guidelines.
- Store and handle endoscopic equipment appropriately after reprocessing.
- Obtain and document patient vital signs.
- Transport patients safely before and after procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all infection control and safety standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 completed travel assignment required.
- Recent experience as an Endoscopy/GI Technician.
- Strong knowledge of endoscope reprocessing and High-Level Disinfection (HLD).

License/Certification:
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support Instructor (Required)
