As an Article 28 facility accredited by the Joint Commission, we are committed to delivering high-quality care in a state-of-the-art environment. Our surgery center only does eye procedures including cataract, glaucoma and retinal surgery.
Summary
We are seeking a Surgical Technologist to join our dynamic team at the Retinal Ambulatory Surgery Center of NY. In this role, you will play a vital part in assisting with surgical procedures, ensuring a sterile environment, and supporting the surgical team to provide exceptional patient care. Eye experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures.
- Assist surgeons and other medical staff during operations by providing necessary instruments and supplies.
- Ensure all surgical instruments are accounted for before and after procedures.
- Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient operation of the surgery center.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices in surgical technology.
Requirements
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist from an accredited program is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in an ambulatory surgery center or similar setting is a plus.
Pay: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour
