The Winston Prouty Center is looking for an experienced manager to oversee the financial operations of our programs and campus.
Founded in 1969, the Winston Prouty Center for Child and Family Development has been providing inclusive education and family support to promote the success of children and families for over 55 years. Our services include early intervention, early care and education, postpartum home visiting nursing support, child care referral and financial assistance, bookmobile program, supervised visitation, family supportive housing and more. Our non-profit organization owns and operates a 180 acre campus with 8 buildings hosting 35 tenants. Along with providing core services and maintaining the campus, the Center has plans to build residential housing on it’s property as part of the future vision of an integrated community: The Village at Winston Prouty.
Job Summary
The Finance Director will oversee the fiscal operations of the organization and create and implement overall financial strategy. The ideal candidate will be both detail oriented and a big picture thinker and will have experience working with organizations that manage multiple projects and business entities.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all cash management, budgeting, investments, insurance, and financial reporting
- Coordinate development of annual operating, capital, and program budgets
- Manage and comply with local, state and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
- Communicate financial performance with Board of Directors, Executive Director and leadership team
- Ensure proper closing of books and prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports
- Provide insight and recommendations to short-term and long-term growth plan of organization
- Oversee grants and contracts
- Coordinate all audit activities
- Supervise Finance Coordinator
Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years previous financial and accounting experience
- Ability to use Quickbooks Online adeptly
- Experience with audits and budgeting
- Knowledge of key financial reports and indicators
- Ability to present data and information in an accessible manner.
Position is 30 hours/week, in person
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
