Objective
To effectively and efficiently provide the highest level of service to clients in maintaining their lawns through chemical applications of fertilizers and pesticides.
Description
The primary purpose of the position is to provide turf management services for grounds management. This position serves as a member of a turf crew providing chemical application to residential and commercial properties assigned, as well as providing clients with advice and assistance with their lawn care.
Responsibilities/Duties
- Apply fertilizers and pesticides to lawns/landscapes according to label instructions, safety procedures, and schedule.
- Drive a company vehicle to clients’ locations, make necessary applications, and provide client with documentation of service at job location.
- Maintain vehicle and equipment through keeping vehicle clean and follow through on regular and general maintenance.
- Notify supervisor immediately of any problems with vehicle, equipment, or completed scheduled work in a timely manner.
- Interact with clients on site, via email, and/or phone as needed.
- Promptly respond (within 24-48 hours) to client questions or requests for additional services.
- Evaluate entire job site for any additional work, repairs, and/or improvements needed and notify supervisor in a timely manner for client follow up.
- Input information for completed work into computer system at the end of each workday.
- Keep work/storage areas clean and organized.
- Notify supervisor of any additional materials and equipment needed to perform the job.
- Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications & Educational Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2-3 years related industry experience
- NC Pesticide License (strongly preferred)
- Turfgrass degree or certificate preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge of spraying/spreading equipment
- Ability to read and understand a pesticide label
- Ability to calculate rates and amounts of products needed to complete work.
- Minimum 1 year of experience making liquid and granular application to turfgrass/ornamental landscapes

- Knowledge of computer applications. (i.e. Gsuite)
- Must be able to perform physical labor for prolonged periods of time in a wide range of climatic conditions including extremes of heat and cold.
- Must be able to lift and carry objects 50 to 90 pounds.
- Must have a current driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to drive a truck with a trailer.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
