Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating dump trucks to transport construction materials, debris, and other freight to various job sites and disposal locations. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, route navigation, and cargo handling will ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Duties
- Operate dump trucks with manual transmission, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of materials to different routes and local job sites
- unload freight, including dirt, sand, stone, broken concrete, and asphalt.
- Navigate using GPS systems to reach delivery points accurately while optimizing routes for efficiency and safety
- Comply with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and hazardous materials regulations during all operations
- Report mechanical issues promptly, and perform routine safety checks before and after each shift.
- Secure loads properly using appropriate manual handling techniques to prevent shifting or damage during transit
- Document delivery activities accurately, including mileage, cargo details, and delivery confirmations
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving with dump trucks
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to air brake operations preferred.
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials handling, and safety protocols
- Experience with GPS navigation systems.
- Familiarity with dump truck loading/unloading techniques.
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance
