Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and social-emotional learning activities
- Support classroom management efforts to maintain a safe, organized, and inclusive environment for children
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote curiosity, creativity, and social skills development
- Help with classroom routines such as snack time, nap time, and transitions to foster consistency and security
- Maintain consistency with Bright from the Start standards and Georgia Pre-K guidelines
- Collaborate with lead teacher to develop and adapt lesson plans that meet the developmental needs of preschoolers
- Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding children’s progress and classroom events
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of classroom materials and supplies
Skills
- Experience working with young children in childcare, daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies
- Ability to assist with lesson planning across literacy, math, and overall curriculum development
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and students
- Technical proficiency with educational tools and classroom management software is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work well in team environments alongside educators and support staff
- Compassionate approach to childcare that promotes positive behavior and emotional growth
