Job Title: Registered Nurse - Outpatient Surgery

Duration: 13 weeks ONLY

Shift: Days - Monday through Friday with rotating day off
Hours: 40 hours (4 shifts 10 hours)
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Outpatient Surgery Registered Nurse to join a peri-op unit in California. This role requires a well-rounded RN capable of managing pre-op and PACU phase II workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Provide care for outpatient surgery unit - the unit focuses on open heart and total joint patients
- Prepare patients for surgery with sterile technique and good bedside manner
- Administer medications and manage surgical emergencies
- Educate patients and families throughout the process
- Collaborate with surgical team and interdisciplinary staff
Requirements:
- Active CA RN license
- Minimum 2 years of recent outpatient surgery experience
- Must have some recent endoscopy experience
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- Experience with moderate sedation and rapid patient turnover is a plus
Additional Details:
- No on-call requirements
- Maximum of 5 days RTO allowed
- No RTO permitted within the first 30 days of assignment
- All resumes must include EMR experience listed for each facility
- Must maintain a clean RN license
