Responsibilities
- Perform professional nail care services including manicures, pedicures, gel nails, acrylics, and nail art with precision and attention to detail
- Apply and maintain various nail enhancements such as gel extensions, acrylics, and nail wraps in accordance with sanitation standards
- Consult with clients to understand their preferences and recommend suitable nail treatments and designs based on color theory and current trends
- Maintain a clean, sanitized workstation by following disinfection procedures for tools and equipment after each client
- Educate clients on proper nail care routines and promote retail sales of nail products and skincare items
- Stay updated on the latest industry techniques including hair extensions, hair styling, threading, dermabrasion, and other beauty treatments to provide comprehensive service options
Skills
- Strong knowledge of color theory to create visually appealing nail designs and art
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with diverse clients
- Experience working in the beauty industry with a focus on nail care or related services such as eyelash extensions or body waxing
- Thorough understanding of sanitation practices, disinfection procedures, and safety standards in a salon environment
- Proficiency in cosmetology practices including esthetic laser treatments, dermabrasion, hair threading, hair styling, barbering, and retail sales techniques
- Ability to perform retail math for upselling products confidently while maintaining excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of retail sales strategies to promote products like nail polishes, skincare items, or hair accessories effectively
