This includes addressing day-to-day maintenance issues, responding promptly to guest service requests, and proactively identifying potential problems before they impact operations.
This role requires a hands-on individual who can work independently, prioritize tasks efficiently, and take pride in the condition of the property. The ideal candidate is proactive, reliable, and capable of troubleshooting various maintenance systems, including basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general carpentry.
In addition to technical responsibilities, this position contributes to the overall guest experience by maintaining a clean, safe, and well-functioning environment. Strong communication and a team-oriented mindset are essential, as this role works closely with front desk and housekeeping staff to ensure all areas of the hotel meet brand and guest expectations.

Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning activities such as mopping, etc.
- Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks & vacuums as needed, filling gaps on walls, etc.
- Maintain the overall condition, functionality, and visual presentation of the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house spaces, and exterior grounds, ensuring all areas reflect high standards of cleanliness and care
- Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests, prioritizing guest needs and resolving issues efficiently to minimize disruption to the guest experience
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance, safety, and longevity
- Troubleshoot and complete repairs related to plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, ice machines and general facility upkeep with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach
- Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify potential issues, safety concerns, or maintenance needs, addressing them before they impact operations or guest satisfaction
- Monitor and maintain pool and spa systems, including routinely checking and adjusting chemical levels to ensure compliance with safety and health standards
- Maintain exterior signage, including replacing or updating signs as needed to ensure visibility, accuracy, and a polished property appearance
- Manage and restock on-site coolers or designated storage areas, ensuring products are properly organized, rotated, and maintained
- Coordinate with and assist vendors and service providers on-site, ensuring work is completed efficiently, professionally, and in alignment with property standards
- Uphold all safety protocols and ensure compliance with brand standards and property guidelines at all times
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked maintenance workspace, ensuring tools, supplies, and equipment are properly stored and readily available
- Communicate effectively with front desk, housekeeping, and general manager teams to support smooth daily operations and a seamless guest experience
Skills
- Prior experience in the maintenance field preferred
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing systems
- Experience using hand and electrical tools
- Ability to read technical manuals and drawings
- Very good communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical stamina and dexterity
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Electrical: Understanding basic wiring, replacing light fixtures, outlets, and switches, and troubleshooting tripped breakers.
