Job Summary
We are seeking a registered dietitian to provide nutrition assessments, counseling, and education to individuals, families, and groups. The registered dietitian will function as a vital member of our interdisciplinary team.
Esperanza Eating Disorders Center specializes in the treatment and care of individuals recovering from eating disorders. We run a full-day partial hospitalization program and intensive outpatient program.
Workdays may range from 6-8 hours on most days. No weekends.
Duties
- Conduct nutrition assessments evaluating eating patterns, nutritional status related to malnutrition or disordered eating.
- Create individualized meal plans for patients to support nutritional goals.
- Provide one-on-one nutrition counseling, utilizing evidence-based interventions to support comprehensive nutrition rehabilitation.
- Ability to provide nutrition education to groups in various topics, other groups include supporting patients with cooking groups, grocery outings, meal planning, and food exposures.
- Participate in meal and snack support with patients.
- Responsible for minimal kitchen sanitation after use with patients and maintain spaces organized.
- Work collaboratively with therapists and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to maintain records and complete charts as required within a timely manner.
- Written, verbal presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Requirements
- Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited institution, with a major in Food & Nutrition, Food Science, Dietetics, Human Nutrition, or a Nutrition-related area.
- Completion of an ACEND accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD).
- Culinary experience.
- One or more years of experience in clinical dietetics.
- Experience working with a team.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
· Registered Dietitian certification from the Commission on Dietetic Registration or RD eligible (must obtain registration within a certain time of hire)
· Licensed Dietitian in the state of Texas
· Valid driver’s license
· CPR certification -Must be acquired within the first two weeks of hire.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE (not required but preferred):
· Deep understanding of eating disorders, weight-inclusive approach, “all foods fit” approach, Intuitive Eating, and Health at Every Size.
· Bilingual
Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
