Join our dynamic team as an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator, where you will play a vital role in fostering a safe, compliant, and sustainable work environment. Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS policies and procedures aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), and workers' compensation law requirements.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, hazard assessments, and root cause analysis to identify potential risks and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Lead training & development sessions on topics such as first aid, CPR, OSHA standards, occupational health practices, and emergency response protocols.
- Manage incident reporting processes by preparing detailed reports, investigating accidents or near misses, and recommending preventive measures.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness activities including first aid response, CPR training, and ensuring availability of safety equipment across the facility.
- Stay current with evolving environmental regulations and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with management to foster a culture of safety awareness and accountability throughout the organization.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in manufacturing or industrial settings with a strong understanding of OSHA regulations, EPA standards, and workers' compensation law.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is highly preferred; additional safety certifications are a plus.
- Knowledge of occupational health principles and experience conducting root cause analysis for safety incidents.
- Excellent report writing skills with the ability to document investigations clearly and accurately.
- Strong communication skills to effectively deliver training & development sessions and safety messages across diverse teams.
- Ability to analyze hazards systematically and implement effective corrective actions promptly.
