Position Summary:
The Finance Manager is responsible for directing, coordinating, and overseeing all financial and accounting activities within the organization. The primary objective of this role is to ensure the company's financial health through effective financial planning, budget control, financial analysis, cash flow management, and compliance with tax and regulatory requirements. Additionally, the Finance Manager provides strategic financial insights to support executive decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management
- Develop and manage the company's annual budget.
Accounting and Compliance
- Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal policies.
- Coordinate internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with tax, regulatory, and governmental requirements.
- Supervise the preparation and filing of financial reports required by government agencies.
Cash Management and Treasury
- Manage the company's cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity.
- Maintain and oversee relationships with banking and financial institutions.
- Evaluate financing options and recommend capital management strategies.
- Authorize and control disbursements in accordance with corporate policies.
Analysis and Strategy
- Evaluate the profitability of projects, investments, and new business opportunities.
- Prepare financial analyses to support strategic decision-making.
- Participate in strategic planning and organizational growth initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and resource optimization.
Leadership and Supervision
- Lead and develop the finance and accounting team.
- Establish goals, performance metrics, and development plans for direct reports.
- Promote effective internal controls and financial best practices.
- Actively participate in leadership and strategic planning meetings.
- Oversee financial planning and forecasting of revenue, expenses, and cash flow.
- Analyze financial statements and prepare management reports for senior leadership.
- Monitor key financial performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
- Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of (3) years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or financial management.
- Experience supervising staff and leading teams.
- Experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and strategic planning.
- Strong knowledge of accounting and financial principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems or ERP software.
- Knowledge of applicable tax and labor regulations.
- Experience with budgeting and variance analysis.
