Overview
This role ensures products, materials, and supplies are accurately received, inspected, stored, picked, packed, and shipping according to company standards and customer requirements.
Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments by unloading trucks, verifying quantities, inspecting for damage, and matching items to purchase orders .
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, labeling, and staging orders for carriers.
- Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts, documentation, and proper storage of materials.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and scanners.
- Create and update shipping documents including bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels.
- Coordinate with carriers (UPS, FedEx, freight companies) to schedule pickups and track deliveries .
- Ensure warehouse organization by keeping work areas clean, safe, and compliant with company policies.
- Communicate with purchasing, production, and customer service to resolve shipment discrepancies or delays.
- Follow safety procedures and report hazards or damaged materials .
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, or logistics.
- Forklift experience.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills .
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Able to follow instructions and apply training.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic math and documentation skills.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent lifting, bending, and carrying.
- Ability to operate warehouse machinery safely.
- Standing and walking for majority of shift (75%+)
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
