Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation and cooking to ensure dishes meet quality standards and presentation expectations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, including washing dishes, bussing tables, and sanitizing surfaces
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and adhering to food safety regulations
- Support serving staff by preparing ingredients and assisting with plating when needed
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and transactions
- Contribute to banquet setups and assist with large event catering as required
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and guest satisfaction
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred but not required; willingness to learn is valued highly
- Familiarity with food handling, safety protocols, and basic cooking techniques is advantageous
- Experience with POS systems like Aloha or Micros is a plus but training will be provided
- Prior work in hospitality settings such as hotels or banquet facilities enhances your suitability for this role
- Strong communication skills and a customer service-oriented mindset are essential for success in this energetic environment
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
