Overview
Acrossers is looking for an energetic and reliable Hip Hop / Street Dance Instructor to teach children at our Santa Ana location.
This is a structured teaching position — you do not need to create your own curriculum. We provide our teaching program, step system, class structure, and training. Your role is to learn the system and deliver fun, high-energy, well-organized classes while helping students progress.
The current schedule includes three consecutive classes in one evening, with the potential to expand to four consecutive classes as enrollment grows.
Schedule: Mondays, 5:30–8:30 PM
Potential future schedule: approximately 4:30–8:30 PM
Pay: $50/hour
Current weekly hours: 3 hours, with potential to increase to 4 hours
Responsibilities
- Teach three consecutive Hip Hop / Street Dance classes for different age groups
- Follow the Acrossers curriculum and teaching methodology provided to you
- Teach steps, combinations, choreography, musicality, and basic performance skills
- Maintain an energetic, positive, and structured classroom environment
- Keep students engaged while maintaining appropriate discipline and class organization
- Observe student progress and help dancers improve their technique and confidence
- Prepare students for studio performances and future team opportunities
- Track attendance and follow the studio’s class procedures
- Communicate with the studio team regarding student progress or classroom concerns
What We’re Looking For
- Strong Hip Hop / Street Dance foundation
- Previous teaching experience with children is preferred
- Comfortable teaching multiple age groups
- Ability to explain movement clearly and break steps down for beginners
- Positive energy and strong classroom presence
- Reliable and able to commit consistently to the Monday schedule
- Comfortable learning and following an established dance curriculum
- Professional, responsible, and easy to communicate with
Competition, performance, choreography, or dance-team experience is a plus.
Training
We provide instructor training, curriculum materials, teaching methodology, and ongoing support. You will not be expected to build the program from scratch.
This position is a good fit for a dancer who enjoys teaching and wants a consistent block of paid teaching hours without having to develop their own curriculum.
Pay: $50.00 per hour
