Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to determine client needs and develop personalized treatment plans
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions employing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis
- Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety during emergencies
- Deliver specialized counseling for conditions including PTSD, grief, addiction, chronic pain, gender issues, autism spectrum disorders, and developmental disabilities
- Document all patient interactions accurately within HIPAA-compliant medical records and maintain detailed clinical documentation using appropriate medical terminology and CPT coding
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management and coordinate care plans for patients with complex mental health needs
- Utilize telehealth experience to extend services remotely while maintaining high standards of patient care and confidentiality
Requirements
- Valid licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (e.g., LPC, CSW, LMFT, LCSW) in Kentucky.
- Proven experience in psychotherapy techniques such as motivational interviewing, behavioral therapy, social work practices, and crisis management
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, and individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges
- Strong knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems for accurate diagnosis documentation
- Experience with outpatient clinical settings
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to behavioral health and mental health counseling
- Excellent patient assessment skills combined with the ability to manage complex cases involving trauma or PTSD care
- Competency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms while adhering to HIPAA regulations
- Additional skills in addiction counseling, grief counseling, psychopharmacology awareness, special education collaboration, or working with individuals on the autism spectrum are highly valued

Pay: $50,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
