BASIC JOB DESCRIPTION
The Lasting Team Leader will be responsible for assisting the department supervisor in training, coaching, providing materials to, and monitoring the work of employees in the department perform the production operations within the department as needed. The Lasting Team Leader shall also perform production duties of the Lasting Department Team Coach as needed.
Coaching, training, and disciplining for this position are provided and coordinated by the Lasting Department Team Coach.
JOB OBJECTIVE
To efficiently perform the assigned production task in accordance with the quality and quantity standards as established by the Company. To work as a team member to produce a sufficient quantity of acceptable first quality boots so as to contribute to the overall profitability of the Company and to provide the highest earnings possible for the employee.
The position holder should:
- Support harmonious relations and good team work with co-workers, Team Coaches, and managers.

- Willingly and enthusiastically cooperate with, assist, and support the immediate Team Coach in his/her efforts to achieve the highest level of productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction for the subject area of responsibility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Work with employees to maintain top quality work at optimum efficiency, providing materials, supplies, coaching, and checking of work being done.
2. Work with trainers and new hires to instruct them in the methods and procedures; help develop the skills necessary to ensure efficient operations.
3. Work with all department personnel and supervisors to boost efficiency, maximize production in the department, timely delivery of product, and adherence to job requirements
4. Must be knowledgeable of all jobs and machinery in the department and be able to fill in if someone is absent
OTHER DUTIES
1. Prepare accurate time and production records as required.
2. Perform other duties as assigned by Team Coach.
3. Clean up work area daily.
4. Follow all safety rules and regulations; must use all required safety equipment. Report any safety issues to Team Coach.

WORKING CONDITIONS
1. Job requires standing, walking, lifting totes, pushing racks, and carrying supplies and materials throughout the day.
2. Requires continuous attention to job to produce first quality work.
3. Smoking, the use of other tobacco products, or vaping on any McRae Footwear premises is allowed only in designated areas.
4. The workplace is a pleasant business environment, and your language and physical conduct should always be consistent with this type atmosphere. Verbal or physical conduct which harasses, embarrasses, disrupts, or interferes with your Teammates' work performance, which creates an intimidating, offensive, or hostile environment, or in general is not consistent with professional behavior is not allowed.
5. All forms of harassment are prohibited in our workplace, and it is Company policy to emphasize that sexual harassment is specifically prohibited.
6. Socializing or sexualizing during on-duty time is not acceptable. Sexualizing at any time on Company premises or while on Company business is not acceptable behavior.

GENERAL CONDITIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
1. Must work well with others on an individual basis and as a team member.

Must demonstrate a strong commitment to the Parent company (McRae Industries, Inc., a publicly owned company) and its management's efforts to profitably operate a conglomerate of several diverse businesses (Divisions, Subsidiaries, or Affiliates) each of whose earnings or losses (as the case may be) are consolidated in the Company's Financial Statement at the end of each fiscal year (end of July), and whose combined earnings are the basis for most elective employee benefit programs; therefore, must be an enthusiastic supporter of the operations and marketing efforts of each of the affiliated business units.
4. Must follow Company rules, regulations, and procedures. Must adhere to Company Policies, Statements, and business practices. Must demonstrate high ethical standards in all work-related activities and any other activities which could adversely affect the Company's positive relationship with its existing or potential customers or its employees.
5. Must work all normal scheduled work time and any additional time as required by business conditions and requested by Coach. Overtime hours may be required without advance notice based on production schedule. The Company has a policy of making reasonable accommodation for specific religious beliefs which conflict with established and normal operating procedures.
6. There is a ninety (90) day waiting period before becoming eligible for most non-mandatory employee benefit plans. Days Off With Pay accrual is effective immediately for regular full-time employees. Holiday pay for regular full-time employees is available after completion of the 90-day waiting period.
7. Must perform any other duties as may be: (a) appropriate, necessary, or required to cause the Company to be operated at its highest level of efficiency and profitability; and (b) as may be directed by Coach.
8. McRae Industries, Inc. is an “at-will” employer, and employment in the position of Lasting Team Leader may be terminated at any time, with or without cause, by either the employee or employer. Your first 90 days of employment will be considered an introductory period during which the Company will evaluate you for the position. The satisfactory completion of the introductory period does not guarantee you continued employment or change the “at-will” status of your employment.
9. PAY RANGE
Hourly Pay Range: $15.00 to $20.00 Per Hour
In accordance with Wage and Hour Laws, this job, as described herein, is not exempt from the overtime provisions of the Wage and Hour Law and all hours over 40 during a work week will be paid at 1 ½ times the regular rate of pay. This position is paid on a weekly basis.
The starting wage will be determined by an appraisal of the candidate's experience, knowledge relevant to the job content, and skill development necessary to perform the duties of the job at or above the acceptable level.
